Deb Hanlin has been working in the Curriculum and Assessment Office since 2002 and was recently recognized for her 25 years of service to The Ohio State University.  She has experience in curricular initiatives and flow, and office and committee management.  She also has training in HR and fiscal areas as well as electronic course approval and tracking.

Kathleen M. Hallihan, Ph.D., Director     E-mail: hallihan.3@osu.edu
Kate has her M.A. and Ph.D. from Ohio State in Germanic languages and literatures and her B.A. in international relations at Michigan State University. She is the former director of professional development for graduate faculty and graduate students for the Graduate School, where she directed the Preparing Future Faculty mentorship program. Kate has extensive experience in curricular development and assessment, program management, and event planning and marketing. She has taught courses in German language and medieval and Norse literature, history, and mythology. As the program director and president elect for the Association of Staff and Faculty Women (formerly AFPW), she utilizes her expertise in career and leadership development to help OSU women further their professional aspirations. Kate has two young children, four cats, enjoys yoga, and knows German and Spanish.

Sophia Lee, Ph.D., Program Coordinator     E-mail: lee.1307@osu.edu
Sophia received her M.A. and Ph.D. from Ohio State in educational policy and leadership. Before taking over the program coordinator position, she taught teacher education courses at Ohio State as a GTA and then as a visiting assistant professor. Her research interests and expertise include higher education, educational administration, economics, and comparative education. Sophia has a B.A. in philosophy from Taiwan, her home country, and loves arts and nature. She is also a member of All Nations Christian Fellowship (part of the Vineyard affiliation) and International Friendships, Inc.

Ron Severtis, M.A., Graduate Administrative Associate  E-mail: severtis.2@osu.edu
Ron earned his M.A. in sociology at the University of Akron and is currently enrolled in the Ph.D. program in sociology at The Ohio State University. He has three years of independent teaching experience in Introductory Sociology, Criminology, and the Sociology of Education. Ron has advanced training in statistics and research methods. Ron’s research interests include the sociology of education, social stratification and higher education; specifically the academic and social effects of Greek-letter social organizations. He is a member of the American Sociological Association, the North Central Sociological Association, and Sociologists for Women in Society. Ron is an alumnus of the Gamma-Alpha ( Akron) chapter of Lambda Chi Alpha International Fraternity, where he served as vice president, scholastic chair, and alumni correspondent as an undergraduate, and as alumni advisor as a graduate student. In his spare time, Ron enjoys playing softball, basketball, fantasy football, and golf; reading Eastern philosophy and political campaign management books; and playing keyboard.
